1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing our website or installing and using the Lantern extension (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Use of the Service

You agree not to:

Infringe the rights of any third party or violate any law.
Transmit malware or attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the Service.
Misrepresent your identity or scrape data without permission.
Use the Service for unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful activity.

3. The Lantern Wallet (Beta)

Lantern is a non-custodial, self-custody wallet provided as a Beta, "as is" and "as available". It may contain bugs and change without notice. We do not hold, control, or have access to your funds, keys, or recovery phrase. You are solely responsible for securing them — if you lose your recovery phrase, your assets cannot be recovered by anyone.

4. Intellectual Property

All website and extension content — including the Lantern name, logo, and design — belongs to Artisam Labs or its licensors and may not be reproduced without written consent. Open-source components remain under their respective licenses.

5. User Submissions

If you send us feedback or content, you grant Artisam Labs a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use it to improve the Service. Do not submit confidential information or anything you do not have the right to share.

6. Web3 & Blockchain Disclaimer

Blockchain transactions are irreversible and pseudonymous. Lantern's security checks are advisory and best-effort — they reduce risk but cannot guarantee a transaction is safe. We provide software tools, not financial, investment, legal, or tax advice. You are responsible for your own decisions and for understanding the risks of digital assets.

7. Third-Party Links & dApps

The Service may link to or surface third-party sites and Stellar dApps. We do not endorse them and are not responsible for their content, conduct, or outcomes. Interact with them at your own risk.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Artisam Labs is not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages, or for any loss of funds, data, or profits arising from your use of the Service.

9. Indemnification

You agree to defend and indemnify Artisam Labs against any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service or your violation of these Terms.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Artisam Labs operates, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes take effect when posted here. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
